Maximum group size: 36 participants per day/per location
Par 3 Series is an event meant to teach young golfers the different aspects of course play and tournament golf. The series offers a low pressure setting that encourages reinforcement of The First Tee curriculum as well as rules and etiquette. Par 3 Series is meant to be played in combination with The First Tee's regular classes.
NOTE: This is a playing league and there is no on course coaching instruction.
Age Requirements:
Cost: $60.00 for the 7 week session
Prerequisites:
Must have completed at least one session of PLAYer – this program is designed to be taken along with a regular First Tee class. It is also open for enrollment to students who are RETURNING and are not currently taking a weekday class.
Times: Par 3 Series times vary at each location
When and Where Par 3 Series is Available
- Saturdays @ Iron Play Par 3 Links (Greensboro): 9:00 - 11:00 AM
- Saturdays @ Tanglewood Par 3 Course (Clemmons): 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Golf Format Schedule:
- Week 1 will be PRACTICE Individual Stroke Play
- Week 2 and on will be Individual Stoke Play
- Players will need to play 4 weeks minimum to qualify for the championship
PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CADDIE FOR THEIR KIDS DURING PAR 3 SERIES
Caddie Guidelines and "Over-Coaching"
All caddies should take a few minutes and watch the following videos before carrying their son or daughters bag during Par 3 Series or any other competitive/practice round.
The first video will help caddies know "what to do" while on the course. It is a great overview of a caddie's duties and responsibilities. W

The second video is on "what NOT to do" while on the course. It talks about parents who struggle with "over-coaching" and how it can be harmful for everyone's golf experience.
