Community Program
Throughout our Summer session, First Tee—Central Carolina partners with local youth centers, such as the Boys and Girls Club, City Recreational Centers, YMCAs, etc., to help introduce more children to the game of golf and its life enhancing values. By partnering with different outreach organizations, our chapter hopes to impact the lives of numerous youth within our community, showing them the skills and tools necessary to become a real game changer.
How It Works:
Throughout the summer, our chapter staff and interns conduct a multitude of two-to-three-day summer camps (Monday and Tuesday or Monday-Wednesday) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, with snack and lunch provided. Campers will have the opportunity to experience and learn about the game of golf, by practicing three different types of shots (putting, chipping, and full swing) through a variety of interactive activities. Upon completion, campers will receive a scholarship to participate in our upcoming Fall Season, which is typically an $80 fee.
